Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Seervision is an ETH start-up building a complete technology stack that simplifies and scales live video production. Our solution enables cameras to identify and track a person’s movements, autonomously adapting focus, zoom and framing to produce the ideal shot. Our technology is revolutionizing video production for stage, studio and sports events, helping clients deliver consistent, high-quality results at significantly lower costs.

We are looking for excellent engineers to help us design, develop and deploy transformative AI-powered products to our clients. In this role, you will be working together with other engineers to enhance and augment our state-of-the-art perception stack. Among others, you will contribute to technological innovation in the areas of skeletal pose prediction and motion estimation from a monocular camera.

Eligibility criteria

This position is in the context of an H2020 SME Innovation Associate Grant. The Mobility Rule is applicable to this grant, meaning that at the time of recruitment, the applicant must have not resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last three years in Switzerland.

What you’ll do

  • Prototype, develop, evaluate and integrate real-time algorithms at the intersection of computer vision and robotics.
  • Drive the development and integration of novel skeletal pose prediction and motion estimation algorithms into our perception pipeline as part of a European project.
  • Stay on top of the latest developments in computer vision and perception. Initiate and lead projects that apply novel ideas from research to add value to our product.
  • Collaborate with our product team to define metrics and build data sets to evaluate our perception algorithms for performance that is relevant for our product.
  • Work with our product and engineering teams to define, plan, and implement new product features.

What you’ll need

  • PhD-level interdisciplinary scientist in computer science and engineering, mathematics or data science in engineering.
  • 5+ years of production-level software development experience.
  • 2+ years experience applying deep learning algorithms to solve computer vision and robotics problems.
  • Proficient in fundamentals of computer vision and deep learning. Experience in 2D and 3D human pose estimation.
  • Knowledgeable in linear algebra, statistics, and related mathematics.
  • Excellent working knowledge of python and experience with C++.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch).
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work independently as well as in a team.


  • Familiar with cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
  • Experience in camera calibration and/or SLAM.
